Amy Dunn

Amy earned her graduate degree with George Washington University in Washington D.C. She obtained board certification as a family nurse practitioner through both national certifying bodies: the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Following graduate training, Amy completed advanced practice training as a surgical first assistant with the National Institute of First Assisting. She completed her surgical preceptorships with pediatric orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and neurosurgery. She then went on to spend the next two years caring for the pelvic health needs of male and female patients here locally in Boise, Idaho.

Prior to completing her NP training, she obtained her registered nursing degree through Idaho State University and worked as an RN with local Boise hospitals. Her nursing background includes neuro-trauma critical care nursing, post-operative recovery, and inpatient acute care management.

Amy is passionate about improving access to health care in underserved areas and advocating for vulnerable populations. She completed a medical mission in Guatemala through her nursing program and has participated as a volunteer with local refugee groups. In her spare time, Amy enjoys horseback riding, swing dancing, snuggling her pets, and spending time with her family.
